Healthy snack: Socca with goat cheese and Wonky dip

Socca - a healthy snack

Socca or Farinata is a thin pancake made of chickpea flour. The delicious recipe originates from the region of Nice. As it's quite cheap to prepare and healthy to eat, it's popular as fast food. Socca can be served as a healthy snack or healthy meal, finished with multiple types of toppings. Together with one of our Wonky fans, Petra Buls, we present to you our healthy recipe for Socca with goat cheese and Wonky dip.

Socca with goat cheese and Wonky dip as a healthy snack

Ingredients:
Socca:

  • 250 ml of water
  • 100 g of chickpea flour
  • 2 tablespoons of olive oil
  • salt + pepper
  • 1 teaspoon of smoked paprika powder
  • 1 teaspoon of za'atar

Topping:

  • Wonky dip of yellow paprika
  • feta cheese
  • rocket

Preparation:
Mix all ingredients for preparing the Socca. 
Put the mix aside for min. half an hour.
Preheat the oven on 220°C.
Put an empty, heat resistant pan in the oven and heat up for 10 minutes.

Take the pan out of the oven and grease it with olive oil. Pour the dough in the pan.
Bake 10 to 15 minutes in the oven.
Cover the pancake with some extra olive oil and put it under the grill for a little while.

Serve the pancake on a plate and cover with the yellow paprika dip.
Crumble the feta cheese and add it as a topping.
End with the rocket salad.
